JUNIOR DOGS

Occasionally we may have available a junior dog aka a puppy who has gone through basic training, is full vaccinated, and is ready for their forever home. For families wanting to bypass the first few months, these puppies are a great option for you.

RETIRED ADULTS

Once we retired one of our fur-mamas, we may decided to place them into a new home. These precious dogs are very near and dear to us and will only be placed with the most special families that can commit to providing a forever home.  

Please email us if you feel you would be the perfect home for an older puppy or adult dog.

GUARDIAN HOMES

On occasion, we will want to keep back an exceptional puppy to further our breeding lines. As we want all of our puppies to have family homes, we will offer guardian puppies on occasion to the right home. How does this work?

Guardian puppies would come to your home at approximately 9 weeks of age. Your family is responsible for the health care, feeding, training and LOVING of your dog. We are responsible for all breed testing (genetics, OFA or PennHip, heart and eyes). Families must live within two-hours of Nanaimo and be willing to feed and supplement their Golden according to the guidelines we give. Being a guardian isn’t for the faint of heart. Females will “cycle” approximately twice per year and there are precautions needed during this time. Additionally, the guardian dog will come to stay with us during whelp – this separation can be hard for families and must be carefully thought through.

More details:

  • Guardian homes must not have an intact (unneutered) male living in the home
  • Must take a minimum of two training classes with puppy
  • Must stay current on parasite and vaccines
  • Must feed recommended food
  • Must have a full fenced yard and/or property
  • Guardian homes cannot use Doggy daycare facilities (as they do not allow intact females)
