First let me say that a Golden Retriever is a Golden Retriever. Period. English Cream, Euro Cream, White Goldens etc are all names that pet parents and breeders have used to refer to the breed but the bottom line is they are still Golden Retrievers:). I myself sometimes refer to them incorrectly at times when trying to describe some of the coat goals within our breeding program.
To be clear…
They are not rare
They are not their own breed
They are not Labrador Retrievers
They are not crossbred
They ARE purebred
The CKC now allows four colour variances when registering Golden Retriever puppies; Cream, light golden, golden, dark golden. Litters can have significant variations within one litter.
Our family feels that health, confirmation and temperament should always be at the forefront of our breeding program. We have chosen to focus on what is often referred to as the English Style with stocky bodies, large heads and light golden coats, all of which conform to breed standards. That said, they are still GOLDEN RETRIEVERS 🙂
